Emily Harris
Emily Harris is the Vice-President and Cat Foster Chair for the Animal Protection and Welfare Society in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She obtained a degree in psychology from Louisiana State University and recently a Masters in Business Administration. Currently she is working on a Ph.D. in psychology. She considers the opportunity to write and share knowlege and experience very rewarding and hopes to enrich the lives of others.
Her other areas of focus are in arts and entertainment. She is currently bringing her two loves of animal welfare and the arts together by organizing events with local art and performance centers as fundraisers to benefit the animals of APAWS. For many years she worked in theater in a variety of areas including props, costumes, lighting and as a stage manager. By combining her experience in the world of theater with her current work with animals she hopes to reach a diverse audience and put focus on both of her passions.
